Dilly Dally

Just off the plane from Canada and in their words ‘grumpy and tired’, Dilly Dally showed neither on stage at Rough Trade. If they were grumpy, their grungy sound probably benefited from it. If they were tired, they were awake enough to try a song they’d only played once before. The singers vocals are rasping and snarly and a times very Pixies like and that’s not a criticism in my book. I’d heard a Desire and Touch before the gig and these were the highlight.
